Composition & Writing Skills (With an Emphasis on Sexual Abstinence)

SUGGESTION: Build a 1/2 credit course on abstinance and family life by combining this unit with selected lessons from Precepts of Human Anatomy and Physiology, and chapter three of Practical Home and Shop Skills.

This five-lesson enhancement unit combines English writing/composition skills with a sexual abstinence theme through five nationally-recognized role models who inspire youth to noble ideals.

This unique unit is designed to help students prepare for English academic assessments, make positive life choices, resist negative peer pressure and develop strong writing skills.
This comprehensive unit contains:

  • Five vignettes of positive role models
  • Five lessons on writing/composition skills with emphasis on sexual abstinence
  • Five companion activity exercises which guide students through each lesson
  • Five positive life principles common to successful people
  • A unit Quiz
  • An Answer Key for the five activity exercises and the Quiz.

This practical package is designed for application in English courses in grades 8-12. It may be applied in lecture-based classrooms or in independent study programs (AEP, home bound, hospital, A/P, accelerated learning, extended campus, etc.).

NOTE: Be sure to “pop out” the center section which contains the Quiz and Answer Key before allowing students to access the material. (Simply pop-out the center section and place it in the studentĀ“s file until needed.)
